When it comes to managing your business and personal finances you need someone with both accounting and business experience. Mark Sherman uses both to help his clients achieve their Financial goals.
“Money is an emotional subject,” he says. “I like helping people solve their problems and keeping them from making costly mistakes.”
After graduating from the California State University at Northridge. Mark spent four years working for the nationwide accounting firm BDO Seidman. He then moved into industry handling corporate banking for Avery Dennison Corporation, managing the accounting of a nursery and finally working as the Controller/CFO for Steel Engineers Incorporated.
To keep up with the growing demand for his expertise, he opened his own accounting firm in 2000. He particularly enjoys structuring businesses to minimize what his clients have to pay the IRS, and also represents them if they do receive an audit notice.
“I get the issues resolved quickly without the IRS contacting them or coming to their business,” he says. “This lets them concentrate on running their business and making money, rather than dealing with the IRS.”
