MASWEN, P.C. is a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm owned by Mark and Wendy Smith. The name MASWEN is derived from the initials Mark Alan Smith and Wendy. They are located in Oxford, Alabama and hope that you will allow their firm the opportunity to develop a relationship with you as your consulting, accounting and taxation needs arise.
They have practiced public accounting together since January 2003. Laney and Avery are their two daughters.
Mark is a 1994 graduate of the University of Alabama, Culverhouse School of Accountancy and has practiced in public accounting since 1995. Mark has served on various boards and agencies throughout the county. He is currently active in his church and has completed a Masters of Divinity Degree (MDiv) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Wendy is a 1994 graduate of Auburn University, School of Business and has practiced in public accounting since 1995. She, as well, has served on various boards throughout the county and is active in her church with the children’s choir. In her spare time she enjoys reading.
Every year, they each maintain 40 hours of continuing education per our state and American Institute licensing and membership requirements. They also participate in a firm peer review program every three years as part of our licensing and professional memberships.
